چکیده

Martin Urban, Tomáš Pajdla, Václav Hlaváč Abstract Projective reconstruction recovers 3-D points in projective space P3 from their several projections to 2-D images. Applications of projective reconstruction include algorithms for selecting point correspondences, algorithms for camera self-calibration, and algorithms for 3D shape recovery. We introduce a method for the projective reconstruction from n views. The method is based on concatenation of trifocal constraints and relies on linear estimates only. The method is not symmetrical with respect to input data. One of the captured images is selected as a reference image which plays a special role during the computation. The proposed algorithm requires that all the points involved be visible in the reference image. An accuracy and stability of the proposed algorithm with respect to pixel errors were tested. Experimental results are presented too.

Projective Reconstruction from Pairwise Overlapping Multiple Views

In this work we address the problem of projective reconstruction from multiple views with missing data. Factorization based algorithms require point correspondences across all the views. In many applications this is an unrealistic assumption. Current methods that solve the problem of projective reconstruction with missing data require correspondence information across triplets of images. We pro...

Linear Multi View Reconstruction with Missing Data

General multi view reconstruction from affine or projective cameras has so far been solved most efficiently using methods of factorizing image data matrices into camera and scene parameters. This can be done directly for affine cameras [18] and after computing epipolar geometry for projective cameras [17]. A notorious problem has been the fact that these factorization methods require all points...

A Comparison of Projective Reconstruction Methods for Pairs of Views

Recently, different approaches for uncalibrated stereo have been suggested which permit projective reconstruction from multiple views. These use weak calibration which is represented by the epipolar geometry, and so no knowledge of the intrinsic or extrinsic camera parameters is required. In this paper we consider projective reconstructions from pairs of views, and compare a number of the avail...

An Approach to Projective Reconstruction from Multiple Views

We present an original multiple views method to perform a robust and detailed 3D reconstruction of a static scene from several images taken by one or more uncalibrated cameras. Making use only of fundamental matrices we are able to combine even heterogeneous video and/or photo sequences. In particular we give a characterization of camera matrices space consistent with a given fundamental matrix...

A subspace method for projective reconstruction from multiple images with missing data

In this paper, we consider the problem of projective reconstruction based on the subspace method. Unlike existing subspace methods which require that all the points are visible in all views, we propose an algorithm to estimate projective shape, projective depths and missing data iteratively. All these estimation problems are formulated within a subspace framework in terms of the minimization of...
